Successful blood donation event at Mestalla with 322 donors
There are 112 new donors. The figure of 322 is 46% of the 700 units of blood needed by the hospitals of the Comunitat every day, which is a success of call
The blood donation at Mestalla has once again been a success thanks to the solidarity of the fans.
A total of 322 people were able to give blood this Thursday between 15:00h and 20:00h, of which 112 were new donors, a very important data because they are people who join the donors of the Transfusion Center of the Valencian Community (CTCV).
The donation at Mestalla is the result, every season and for more than 20 years, of the collaboration between Valencia CF, the VCF Foundation and the CTCV.
In fact, yesterday the Club gave each donor a ticket for the Valencia CF-Rayo Vallecano match, which will be played on Saturday, December 7 at 18:30h.
The importance of donating blood lies in the fact that a single donation can save three lives, because red blood cells, platelets and plasma are extracted.
In addition, blood is a living tissue that expires, hence the CTCV organizes daily donation points in the Valencian Community and the donation in Mestalla is a special one.
Every day the hospitals of Castellón, Valencia and Alicante need a minimum of 700 units of blood and with yesterday's 322 units, 46% is already covered, which is a success.
